Nebraska Repeals Death Penalty

This is huge. Nebraska just voted overwhelmingly to repeal their death penalty, overriding a veto by their Governor! Whether for moral, fiscal, or legal reasons, Nebraska legislators banded together and sent a strong message to the nation that the abolition of the death penalty is not a partisan or divisive issue. We hope Nevada’s legislators will take note and work in coalition to abandon the state’s costly, questionable, and seldom-used death penalty.
